Why do we use a point system for the wellness platform?
The points are a simple representation of how engaged you are in your wellness journey and for tracking the choices you make every day. It allows this to be a participatory and activity-based wellness platform versus an outcomes-based platform. Engaging in your health is what matters. Your outcomes will come naturally from the actions you take, and the points assist in visualizing and reaching your goals.
The Virgin Pulse platform is a tool that we provide for you to use on your personal wellness journey. And that is exactly what it is – personal and based on your decisions, likes, dislikes, and what matters to you. -
The current year's Wellness Campaign ends on July 31, so when will the Wellness Campaign for next year start? I want to continue tracking my habits. Will I be able to access Virgin Pulse after July 31?
Great news! The Wellness Campaign for next year starts on August 1. This means there’s a restart for the points meter and you can continue your personal wellness journey and track your healthy habits. You will have an entire year to reach level 1 (10,000 points) in order to be eligible for the Accelerate option for the following year. New ways to earn points will be added in Virgin Pulse in coming months —stay tuned for more information!

How can I use the mindfulness feature in Virgin Pulse?
Mindfulness or being mindful can mean different things to different people. For some it could mean spending time in nature, reading the Bible and/or devotional, and for others it could simply be quiet time alone in prayer. Try taking an actual break. Taking time to focus on meeting your needs prepares us to take better care of the people around us.

What is the difference between preventive care and diagnostic care?
Preventive care is the care you receive when you are symptom free and believed to be healthy. It’s part of a routine physical or checkup. Diagnostic care is what you receive when you have symptoms or risk factors, and your provider wants to diagnose them. Preventive care, specifically grade A & B per the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, is covered at 100% per the Affordable Cares Act (ACA). An example of preventive care is getting your routine cholesterol screening at an annual preventive care visit. An example of diagnostic care is taking medication to treat high cholesterol and checking your cholesterol levels with your provider.
